Whats your render times on that scenes and what are your specs?
I once made scene with curtains and it rendered about 24h. I got old PC but also maybe I did wrong render settings in vray and bad curtain material. My cpu is core2duo. 2 cores 2 threads.

The bonsai is a free product from archicg plants.
Renders was very long , about 3h30 in 3000 pix on 2 z600 xéon quadcore 2.4ghz 12 gig ram. The scene took 11 gig ram.
I'm always in Strasbourg yes !
