XSI 4: material editor

It is sometimes difficult to go without Material Editor. XSI represents a bit different aproach and we will try to bring it closer to you.






Choose Null. In the "Model" panel/tab press Get > Primitive > Null


Also choose the model to preview our shaders.


Reduce the size of the model. In fact you don't have to do it but It may make the model to look better.


Now change the name of our null object to "RVMaterialEditorModel".


It is time to "parent" objects to be displayed in Material Editor to our "RVMaterialEditorModel". Note - each model attached to our "RVMaterialEditorModel" will have its preview in ME.

To turn on Material Editor preview click Application>>>Views>>>RV-Material Editor on a top bar
